Oh my gosh!!! I am SUPER excited for Secret Santa! I mean, we already do have our names and stuff, but I mean, I can't wait for the day we DO Secret Santa! I absolutely L-O-V-E Christmas time, and I love to wrap presents in an original, crafty way! It also kills my boredom when I wrap as well, it gets my mind going… Anyways, this year, I am an eighth grader doing it, and I don't know, it just feels better… Like I have a feeling that this year's Secret Santa is going to be awesome! Mostly because I can't really remember what last year's Secret Santa was like. Although, I do hope someone wraps a gift multiple times so that it's like fun to watch the person having to open up a bunch of wrapping paper! I hope that this year, everyone is satisfied with their gifts that they get, and are appreciative, because it would really be a bummer if you showed that you didn't like the gift you got. Imagine how the person that got it for you would feel if you did that right? I would feel terrible and kind of sad that they didn't like my gift. I'm also excited to see who has who for their Secret Santas! It's going to be super duper fun, and I just can't wait, I feel like exploding! I"

Hey guys! Aren't you so excited to wake up super early in the morning to go to school at like 5 something AM!!!!? I know I am!!! Just kidding, about the early morning part, but trust me, it will be a lot of fun! I actually like coming to school early in the morning because it's like all dark and there's all the dim lights in the buildings. The scenery just makes me feel like I'm going to the airport to fly off to California! SO, for some reason, I always like to go places in that time of day… So, tomorrow is a pretty big day for all of us! Alright, let's get our chins up, smiles on…. and be rising and shining tomorrow morning for all of our supporters! Let's show them that we are worth spending money for! All of us have important jobs that all connect into providing a good service team. I am assigned a greeter, which means that I have to be all smiles to the crowd and thank them for supporting us! No problem. I do have one question though, our breakfast is always the same right? How come we don't switch it up a bit, like change what kind of meat it is or something? I don't know, but no matter what the breakfast is, we should always be improving what we do every year, so we can top off the last one. I hope this year we raise quite a bit of money for our trip!! I am so excited! We are working our way up and up to reach our destination! The breakfast is just one step closer! A big step, in fact. so I hope that all goes well. For sure it will be better than the Street fair though. So all of you do not forget to be the happiest, most appreciative little children- wait no, let's say mature, children ever! Be careful not to be too wild and crazy so we look like irresponsible little kids, because remember, we want to impress them! This is gonna be so much fun, getting to bond with all of you! See you tomorrow morning at approximately 5:30 or 5 IN THE MORNING!!!!
So, as you all know, Christmas is coming up, and of course, we all get gifts fro Christmas, right? Well, I was wondering if I got a laptop for Christmas, then would I be able to use that for my projects instead of using the class's one? That way it will provide more laptops for other people right? Although, do you think that if I were to get a Macbook Pro or something, then I would probably have to get Final Cut Pro… ? How much does that cost? Anyways, if you could tell me, that'd be great.. But, I am also getting to use my Aunty's T2i, and so then I could use that for the class and then there will be more cameras for the class to use! Hooray!! So that benefits both me, and the class! Unless Mr. M wants me to use his equipment… I just thought that it would benefit the class and expand the use of equipment for everyone. You know, kind of help out a little bit. I was still wondering if we were ever going to get more laptops, like Mr. M said at the Oahu Media camp. That ways everyone will be able to have their own laptop when they want to. That may not happen for a long time more, since we need to be able to raise money for it and all. Oh!! Another thing I was wondering was if we won like a prize for the STN Challenge, since we won first and third. I'm so happy that all of our work paid off, for both our's and the boy's group! Congratulations by the way! Well, I kind of like the way Waianae has their equipment thing set up, like you have this little room where you check out equipment and stuff, because it seems more professional and "business" like, you know? Like, Mr. M was saying how he liked that set up as well, and he kind of got some ideas for our media room as well! I can't wait until I'm in like High School and then I come back and he has it set up in like a totally different way with computers for everyone and stuff… I'm probably going to be like, Aww.. but at least the class is getting better and better and the students have more opportunities! Right now, let's just appreciate the equipment that we do have and cherish it while it lasts! Thanks Mr. M for all that equipment by the way!
So, I figured that most of you must have a pen pal already. I do. I'm so excited to meet her in person! Well, I think I already did, because we went last year to their school… but anyways, i'm still psyched! My pen pal is Dylynn Abbey. She is really pretty! We have some things in common as well! She and I both like to sing, and we both like to dance! I hear she is really nice, so that's good! She hasn't emailed me back in a while, which is kind of sad… I was hoping to get to know her well before we meet, but lately, it hasn't been going too well. I wonder if she checks her emails often? Or if any of you may have her number, then maybe I could text her instead… I don't know, but I just really want to like, talk, you know? Other wise, if I don't know anything about her, then that'd be junk when we go to Florida and I don't know who she really is, or what she's like. So anyways, I hope she responds to my email! What about you guys? How are you doing with your pen pal?
Hey guys, so as you can see, I've changed from Edublogs to Weebly!! I think this is a much better site to use because it has so many features to use and play around with, which I am really happy about because I LOVE to customize things! That way every person in this class can be totally unique from a someone else! It's also way easier to upload photos an videos and stuff, which is good because I never knew how to upload photos on Edublogs from the Desktop, so I never tried! But now, whenever I do my blog, I can always easily add pictures to it without getting confused! I also like how you can have multiple pages because then you can even create a page for fun, which is what I will do because I think it will be fun! This seems like a more REALISTIC blog page than the other one, which is good for our MEDIA class, having to do with technology and all that, you know what I'm saying? Well, anyways, I think that it is super great that we are switching over to Weebly! It is also way more convenient if you are on you're phone and some buttons won't work or something (which has happened to me)! Okay well, thank you for reading my blog! I can't wait to see what your other blogs look like!
Well guys, this was my first car wash today, and I actually had a lot of fun! Being able to bond with my fellow classmates... haha. But seriously though, I think that was the best car washing I ever did in my life! I think it was because the suggested donation was like 10 dollars so I was like, "That's really expensive just for a car wash!" So I made sure I did a extra good job! I got kinda frustrated when I saw that people missed a few spots on the cars, because that just proves that it's not worth it paying like 10 bucks for a car wash. I hope we raised a whole lot of money though! It was kind of slow in the beginning and then it got faster and then slower... But if anyone knows the amount we raised, I want to know! Thank you for all the good food you guys brought!!!! It was so good!! I loved the Apple Cobbler!!!!!! XD Anyways, that was a good experience for me, considering it was my first car wash! I hope next time we get more customers and make more money than we did today! I also hope that he Street Fair works out well too! This is looking like a good trip ahead of us! See ya!!
Ideas!!!!! I need ideas!! I am like stuck on what to do for our project!!! I don't think Nicole has any ideas either:( I hope she does though, because I can't seem to get my mind working! I really hope I do good on my second quarter project, otherwise, I'll be super duper upset and sad because I really want to get straight A's again, but for the whole year! I mean, I have a few ideas, but they don't really have issues to them, so it's kind of hard, and I really only think one of them is good... I was thinking of the powwow, but that already happened, so I don't know how that's going to work out. My second idea was the Operation Shoebox, which is an organization where people form all over the world donate gifts in shoeboxes to people on the poverty side, with not much in their life. I just thought that this was a really good program, and my family is a part of it as well. It's been going on for a while, and people seem to like it, so I thought it would be cool to share the story behind it. I don't know exactly what I want to do though, but I will definitely keep it in mind.
O.M.G!!! I am so happy because I made it in on time for my first project of the year!!!! EEEEEEEE!!!!! I was so proud of myself for turning it in on time! Now I know I've set a good example for a lot of people because they know that I turned my project in, and so now they think of me as someone who knows what they're doing and keeps on track. I think that if I were to turn my first project in late, people probably wouldn't expect me to be on time for the next project. Also, if you were late to an interview for a job, for instance, then the person who interviewed you would have that one problem to report, which is that you are not on time. Not being on time is BIG. TONS of people like you to be on time and ready to go.
So first off, being late for your project definitely does not set a good example for everyone in the class. You're making yourself look bad in front of everyone, because it's like showing them that you procrastinate and all that, so it definitely does not make you look good. And I am not trying to bring people down, I'm just saying my opinion. If you are on time, it obviously would make you feel good and happy about yourself! But if you were late, you would probably be sad, and wished you'd done better on keeping on time. Trust me on this guys. I've learned from my mistakes that doing something late just brings down your happiness level for a while, and you regret doing it. For instance, I turned in my script late before and it was horrible! Instead of the A I deserved, my grade was dropped to a B, and it completely ruined my straight A's for the whole school year!!! Just ONE B!!! And it was all ruined...All of it...it destroyed my goal of getting straight A's for the whole year! If I had turned it in earlier, I would've gotten that A... So you can see how that made me feel about myself for a while... I was so upset. In the future, if you turned in something late, or was late to something, it would probably be more serious than it would be now. As you get older, I believe things get harder, and you have to work more for things to be right. If you were to go to an interview for a job, and you lost track of time, so you were late, they would not appreciate it. Since you are older, they expect more from you, now that you know more things and you know how to take responsibility of your own things. So, the person you are being interviewed by probably would be unsure if they can trust you with tasks and deadlines due to being late for your interview. The main thing is that you do things when it's supposed to be done, and no later so that you can set a good impression on the person you're working with or for. As time goes by, things become more serious, so time is very important to work with. Don't procrastinate and think you have all the time in the world, because sooner or later, your deadline will come, and it won't be easy. Being late would set this feeling over you, and it won't be a very good feeling, so just keep in mind that being on time is worth it, even if you have a lot to do to get to it. And trust me, you'll know what I mean. It may not be very easy, but try your best, and it's ok if you make mistakes, as long as you learn from them. With that being said, let me post this blog so I'm not late! Sigh.... So I'm still not finished with my second draft. I just have to add and fix my voice overs and then add some more broll to it, and then I'm good. I paced my voice overs better this time, and I think it's slow enough, but my project is like 3 minutes and 22 seconds long, PLUS we have to add in Uncle Chuck's interview!! That's going to be even more long!! UGH! Do you think we could jus delete other interviews or something?? Also if we have his interview, we would have to do the script over! So I'm kind of bummed because we aren't really finished with ANYTHING yet! Not even transcribing!! WHY!?? I hope this doesn't happen in second quarter... How are you guys doing on your projects??
Ok guys, so a lot of us went to the science show right? WEll, this year was my first year going, and I actually had fun! I didn't know what to expect or how it was going to run, so I kind of just did what I thought we were supposed to do. When we got there, I was like, oh, okay, this is pretty easy, and so Halle and I just went around and we got at least four interviews and it went pretty well! Although, only two turned out well, because of the bad lighting and the backgrounds for the other ones... It was fun though, getting to meet new people and see a lot of people we knew and haven't seen for a while. For instance, I saw my friend Julia that I haven't seen for a long time because she goes to Waimea High! I also saw all these people that went to Camp Hume over the summer! Also, the science show changed... Like, when I went, there were no palm trees, or no 'models' and stuff like that. Tee thing I remember from 6th grade though, was the trashcan that shoots fog rings. That was like the best! I also had a flashback when they were blowing up those rocket balloons and everyone was screaming for them..(I thought it was kind of funny)... Anyways, so yeah, I'm glad I went to the science show, although, I did miss a lot of work at school, which I later got. Overall, the science show is something I will never forget this year!
